Menu assessments are a great way to check if the foods that your OSHC setting is providing are healthy and will promote health and wellbeing to the students at your centre.

All menus are assessed against the Smart Choices Healthy Food and Drink Supply Strategy for Qld Schools. This strategy is used to ensure a consistent message is given to students across both school and OSHC environments.

A detailed report is compiled with recommendations specific to your settting. We clarify each item on your menu and request nutrition information where possible to ensure an in depth review is done.

As part of the annual NOSHC membership fee, settings are entitled to a free external menu assessment. Members should email oshc@naqld.org with a copy of their menu to get their free assessment. Non-members can complete the application form here.
