Our Nutrition in Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Program has been the leading food and nutrition program for OSHC settings in QLD for 15 years. Our team of dietitians, nutritionists and health promotion officers are the experts in providing nutrition and food safety information for staff, parents and students.
Subscribers to our Nutrition in OSHC program stay up to date with the latest nutrition and food safety information through our e-newsletters, online resources, telephone and email enquiry lines, professional development and workshops/presentations.
The Nutrition in OSHC subscription program supports settings to stay informed of best practice in nutrition, research and policy around food and nutrition in the the OSHC setting, and provides resources and recipes to support your service.
Our team of Dietitians provide professional development and training designed for educators working in OSHC settings that either provide food for children or where parents provide food. Most of our workshops can be delivered in person or virtually.
We offer self-paced training options online through our partner In Safe Hands. These online training options are specifically designed for those working in OSHC settings, and include food safety, nutrition, and understanding food allergies and intolerances.
Our menu reviews are linked to the Australian Dietary Guidelines, Smart Choices Strategy & the National Quality Standards. They are completed by Accredited Practising Dietitians with experienced in the OSHC sector.
Subscribers have access to exclusive factsheets, posters, tools and recipes. Recipes serve 20 children and display the amount of food groups provided per serve. We also have lunchbox recipes for centres where families provide food.
We also provide a variety resources that are freely available to the community. This includes factsheets, posters, and videos on nutrition for a variety of audiences, including families, parents and carers. Please share these resources as desired.
